Food Intolerance Testing #01

Food Intolerance Testing

I use an electronic analyser to carry out food intolerance testing, in the form of the Dietx machine. This is Bioenergetic medicine, also known as Electro-dermal screening or Bioresonance testing. The concept of this was discovered Dr. Reinhold Voll, a German doctor in the 1950's. Dr. Voll discovered that that traditional accupuncture points had a lower resistance than other points on the skin. He developed a device to measure the skin's resistance at these points and found that each point had a standard measurement for all healthy people. Decreases from the normal reading indicate that there is fatigue or degeneration in the tissues associated with that point.

The test is non-invasive (no needles), completely painless and provides instant results. The machine measures changes in the body's resistance. A sensor similar to a ballpoint pen is used to touch an accupuncture point on the finger of one hand while the client holds a cylinder in the other hand. Over a hundred food items will be tested including external allergens such as pollen and also E numbers and additives. The machine acts to pinpoint the potential foods or allergens which may be causing you health problems.

Vitamin and Mineral analysis

A vitamin and mineral analysis will be also carried out to check if you are showing a deficiency in important nutrients as deficiencies go hand in hand with food intolerances, usually due to an impaired digestive system. This test works in the same way as the food intolerance test.

What happens next?

After the test, if it has been shown that you have food intolerances, I will counsell and advise you on how to eliminate those foods from your diet. You will be advised on a programme of safe nutritional alternatives so that your body does not become depleted in essential vitamins and minerals. Quality supplements may also be recommended to help support your body while on the healing progamme. You have taken the first step to better health by having a Food Intolerance test, the hardest part will be done by you when you go home and eliminate the foods which are causing harm. I am available to offer support after the consultation by telephone or email should you need further advice.

What if nothing shows up in the test?

This is not only a test but also a basic nutritional consultation. I will have taken a basic health history from you and also asked you some more detailed questions regarding your health, diet and lifestyle. Not all illnesses are caused by food intolerances. Using my expertise in this field, I will endeavor to establish what is likely to be the cause of your health problems. I will recommend an holistic health and nutritional programme for you possibly involving dietary changes, hydration and complementary techniques. Lifestyle factors will be also taken into account. I will work with you to establish the cause of your illness and advise on guiding you to better and long lasting health.

Do I have to eliminate certains foods for life?

This depends on the severity of your symptoms. Some people may enjoy improved health after only eliminating the foods for a month or two. While, for others, the healing process takes longer. Many people will simply choose to avoid those foods for life as they feel so well with not having them in their diets. It's not easy to eliminate foods that you are used to eating a lot of, but for many the health benefits are usually so great that the client is usually happy to live without them.
A Food Intolerance test, vitamin & mineral analysis, consultation and counselling takes approximately 1 hour and costs £45

Common Food Intolerances

The most common food intolerances are:
  • Wheat
  • Dairy products
  • Yeast
  • Sugar
  • Chocolate
  • Tea
  • Coffee
  • Citrus fruits.
Most people, if they think about it, consume only about 15 different foods. Not surprisingly, it is often the very foods that we have a lot of in our diets that we become intolerant to. Resulting in the body being put under a great deal of physical stress. This type of stress results in the body becoming short of water and in this situation there will also be an increase in the body's production of histamine. As a result of raised histamine levels, the body's immune system becomes compromised and food intolerances can then develop. Ideally a varied diet is recommended to include foods that contain a wide range of nutrients to ensure our optimum health.
